This clay is soft enough for oil based clay and heats up quickly with just the warmth of your hands so it may not be suitable for someone looking to create a large, create detailed models or intricate shapes. It quickly loses detail when pressed or placed on a flat surface. However, it's extremely powerful right out of the box and has a nice smooth texture that's very comfortable to use without warming up or extra heat. I bought it to make quick references for large sculptures and loved it from day one. I noticed that it has an oddly sweet smell, almost like a cake-scented candle, but it's not overpowering. Highly recommended for quick projects and sketches of sculptures.
