Update: After another week of wearing the shoes, the ankle is softer and feels good. These are ultra light shoes. I spent three weeks exploring the city and drove an average of 10 miles a day. The cobblestones took some wear off the shoes but my feet were fine. The cut on my ankle is uncomfortable and sharp. I wish they were a little lower, softer or the stitching/seams were more outside of the shoe instead of digging into my ankle. I thought the shoes should just be broken in but after a week of wearing them they are still biting my ankle which is a shame as the shoes are otherwise great. Another shoe that doesn't quite match the all-round comfort of the Samba (and costs three times as much).
