Bought several of these for a whole house sound system and replaced some of the original "built" speakers which sound really bad. The first thing that comes to mind is the misleading marketing, they just don't have 8 inch woofers. They are actually 7" and the hard center is 5-3/4". They sound noticeably better in the mid to high range than the speakers they replace. Wiring is done with spring-based quick connectors, with no screws to properly tighten (fixing a loose wire in the ceiling can be a non-trivial task). Installation seems easy, just don't over-tighten or break the drywall, and cutting templates are included. The magnetic cases are great. Worth the price? I am not sure. Seems high compared to what you can get in bookshelf speaker format (maybe higher volume). They've really solved the crappy sound quality problem, and while the quality is nowhere near that of a good floorstanding speaker, they're fine for the occasional background music.
