No, not removable - just broken! The belt is so cute and stylish. It looks like the picture but the first strap I received broke 5 minutes after opening. The buckle just fell off. Thinking it was an accident, mistakes happen, I requested a replacement instead of a refund. Didn't even have time to return the first one as the second strap was broken too! I'm really sad because this belt was exactly what I was looking for, but what difference does it make if it looks good if I can't use it at all. 2 stars because it looks like the picture but no I would never recommend it
