I've used it 4 times since I got it, 2 chains 9 speed and 2 chains 10 speed. Works very well, it's a great design using high strength resin and quality steel. There's nothing cheap about that. As with anything that applies high pressure with a small pen, alignment is important so you don't accidentally try to push through something that can't be pushed through. I have found it very easy to get the chain links in the exact position for a successful disconnect.
