    Great broken chain while cycling

    Works perfectly, feels solid. It seems like it's going to take a long time. Used it about 8 times, amazing how it aligns the pen and stamp so well every time. It seems worth the price paid.

    Read the description, this is not the whole tool.

    I returned this item because I was careless and didn't read the full description of the item. Even if the picture of this article shows a complete chain tool, it is only a driving pin. If you don't already have a Shimano chain tool (I don't) this particular article isn't going to help you much. The seller was kind enough to accept the return, although it was mainly my fault for not reading carefully.

    There is nothing wrong with high-strength resin and steel.

    I've used it 4 times since I got it, 2 chains 9 speed and 2 chains 10 speed. Works very well, it's a great design using high strength resin and quality steel. There's nothing cheap about that. As with anything that applies high pressure with a small pen, alignment is important so you don't accidentally try to push through something that can't be pushed through. I have found it very easy to get the chain links in the exact position for a successful disconnect.

    With it I can cut and fit a 10 speed chain in a minute. No fuss, no fuss.

    With this thing I can cut a 10 speed chain in about 1 minute and put it back together with a new pin. It locks the chain where you need it, making it easy to set up for the press, and it has plenty of leverage so the old pin can pop out easily. It also has the foresight to keep the old needle so it doesn't clutter up your store. And to top it off, you can snap off a new needle through the hole under the punch and again not drop the broken tip of the needle on the ground.
