Why build a case that doesn't stand up straight? It seems like a little forethought and a simple design fix before going into production. Such covers are in my opinion twice as expensive as they should be. But they are all overpriced. I think if manufacturers can sell them at such high prices, they will. This case from AmasonBasics is cheaper than many others, but its quality clearly doesn't compare to some of the others (Pelican, Condition 1, etc.). Not waterproof, but not a problem for my purposes. The foam is also not of the same quality as other more expensive brands. That being said, if that hull were upright instead of slanting, it would be worth paying less to get it instead of the Pelican — at least. for my purposes. I think it will protect gear well if you don't need waterproofing. The price difference between this case and the Pelican 1500 is currently $60. However, the price difference between this product and the Conditon 1 801 is only $13. I will return this and order another condition 1.
