We put it on our pit bull when we're out in the cold. He seems to enjoy it because his hair is so short that when it gets too cold he can't enjoy the walk and wants to go back inside. The jacket solved that problem for us. It's also sturdy enough for a dog that likes to run through the bushes, and it has a pocket where we can stash a spare roll of pockets and a spare key in case we locked ourselves out or were ill-prepared. If you have a large dog I would recommend the XL size, we took the large size for him at first and he wasn't wide enough to reach with the strap. The XL size is a bit long for him, but since he doesn't cover his stomach, that's not a problem. The line hole is also perfectly positioned for us to use his rope harness. It has reflective strips, but they don't seem very bright, so we still use the LED collar at night (there are no sidewalks or streetlights in our area).
