We've had this fan for 2 years. We use it strapped to a child's bunk bed. technically it works well, but structurally it has become dangerous. After about a year, it began to fall from the base at the slightest impact. It had just fallen off its base and the cover over the blades fell off while it was still working. He didn't fall from a great height. He was strapped to the bottom bunk, which in this case is actually on the floor. So he fell about 1 foot. He sat and ran across his blades without a shield. This was inconvenient for me as I had to turn the light on (it's 6am now) to get there safely and turn it off. It definitely woke my kids up. But if I hadn't been there and my 2 year old had spotted it, it could have been really bad!
