Review on πŸŽ’ Osprey Sirrus Women's Backpack in Purple by John Castle

Great backpack for hiking

I bought an Osprey for a friend last year and I know it's a good product. I wanted one larger than the 16-18 liter Camelbak I've had for the past 11 years but smaller than my 50 liter Gregory backpack. I also wanted an integrated rain cover so after much research it seemed like the right backpack for me. First off, it's more of a burgundy than a true purple (I like both). Volume 24 liters. Perfect for longer day hikes or maybe even an overnight stay as long as you pack wise and don't need a large tent. I prefer hydration packs to water bottles, but this pack has a little pocket for sunglasses or whatever (I use it as a "sundries" pocket) and it sits right above the hydration bladder, so if I need to refill I have to to empty . something from the pocket above. I also think it's great as a backpack. It's lightweight, versatile, and overall a well-made product.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No instructions
