I had a diaper Genie with my two children and I have only used Playtex Genie replacement pouches because I had tried the private label once and the pouches were thinner and the filling material didn't fit in the Genie diaper like the famous brand's diaper bags. Now that I'm watching other kids I had to buy back the stuff I got rid of so I had to get another Genie and...obviously I have to stock up on supplies to get in. I thought it would be worth trying this brand of diaper lock although I had never heard of it. Although they're plastic and look different (they're see-through), they advertise that they're also 7-ply like the originals. They seem durable and we haven't had a single tear and you seem to get the same amount of diapers thrown in. They were much better for pasting than the previous non-brands I tried a few years ago. There is no problem installing the spare ring in the Genie. Another thing I noticed is that they are odorless. I don't actually like the smell of flavored products, it irritates me so I was glad to see they don't have it. However, this can be a risky proposition with diapers due to their horrible smell. So far, the smells have not "leaked" from Diaper Genie. If so, I will definitely update this review. Overall I'm happy with the functionality and price of these diapers - they appear to be just as good as the original (if the lack of smell isn't an issue). and at a better price.
