UPDATE: Tried the second one because nobody makes a CarPlay mount; the same happened. Tricked me twice but only because I don't want to do it myself! I ended up with a magnetic mount and case that work better. I wish you success! Original Review: Like others here, my wire stopped working after about 6 months. Too bad. You'll need to upgrade their cable OR create a version that allows you to mount your own cable (with the same ability to use it as essentially any dock - no fiddling with the cable, just pressing your phone against the protected edge of the zipper).
