I was looking for an inexpensive replacement for my tried and tested Philips SHE3590. These mono prices are good but a far cry from the sound quality I continue to enjoy from my Philips. They've discontinued their best brother, the 3580, and I'm nervous that the Ms.3590 might go away one day. Yes, the build quality is poor, I only get a year and a half for a pair, but they cost twelve bucks. The search continues. I'm hard of hearing and tend to crank them. The leak on them is too loud for my wife.
