A great idea. Works fine as long as you don't have other 433MHz devices.
It works well enough, but it's clearly version 1.0. I'm sure they will get better. The big limitation is the 433MHz radio link between the gauge and the remote display. If you have other 433MHz devices in your house, the effective range is only a few meters. Most remote temperature and weather sensors operate at 433MHz.
