I've had this dog-dog doorbell for a year now. The system has worked perfectly for me for its intended purpose. My dog scratched to let us know when she wanted to go out and when we were buying a new house I didn't want the new door frames covered in scratches. It took about two weeks to teach her to constantly ring the bell without scratching first. During this time I had dog shoes that she wore to avoid scratching herself on the tree while exercising. It wasn't difficult to teach her how to use it. The product worked very well for the first eight months. I didn't have the receiver range issues that some reviewers had with their devices. Our receiver was about 15 feet from the farthest bell on the leg. After about eight months, the receiver began to play outdoors, getting stuck when the dog called it and ringing repeatedly, and sometimes being triggered by rain or wind, ringing repeatedly. The paw wiggle stops it, and it's still not enough for us to throw it away, but it seems to be getting worse. I plan to order one of their replacement transmitter feet for about $12, shipping not included. I think we were lucky that our device worked as well as before, given other comments the quality of the product doesn't seem to match.
