I'm writing this review because a lot of people don't seem to understand what percale bed linen is and it's almost impossible to find great percale bed linen, but my search is over, they are truly amazing ! It's just a shame they don't offer pillowcases that are sold separately! If someone wants the best PERCALE.1. Single insert: very important for the perfection of the fabric so that it lasts forever! The single grip operation also takes much longer to weave as it uses one thread and needle per shift to ensure the fabric is perfectly flat while without single grip running up to 12 needles at a time reducing the Fabric has a little pucker and is NOT the perfect tight weave2. Supima! this basically gives the sheets a smooth surface and is very desirable! Better than Egyptian cotton! Longer fibers mean less breakage, which means less chance of pilling and frizz! BEST SUPIMA USA!3. LIGHT, THIN and CLEAN: brand adjectives to describe coveted percale linens! Percale sheets wrinkle more than satin, but that's a GIVE because it's a plain flat weave and the satin weave is doubled at the top and single at the bottom. Percale sheets should be thin, percale sheets should be light, percale sheets should be crisp (if you want to drape, choose satin fabric)! and yes, they will be more wrinkled than satin, but when you take them out of the dryer it must be very bad, and percale sheets last a lot longer than satin. Percale sheets are more durable than satin, so all of your grandma's old sheets were still in good condition. they are percale! ;-) They have a deep pocket and are perfect for our 16 inch mattress, meaning they hide EVERYTHING under the mattress, not just in the corners. I ordered dark gray and I love it. not a smoky gray but a vibrant taupe (if I could pick the color that's there it would be a touch, and I mean a touch of indigo) We'll be back for more!
