When I first got a rhinestone phone grip I ordered it with this stand, it took me a little time to get used to it but then I saw all the benefits! You stick your finger in like a ring, so there's less chance of it falling off! But you can also hold between two fingers like the other design if you want, but why? I also think this is a much better booth! However, I will say that if the phone is dropped (because I didn't use the grip) the hinges on the grip break fairly easily because it's plastic. That's how I found them, after mine broke for the 3rd time looking for a new one with this design I came across this set. Problem solved. Removed my stone-encrusted head from the broken base and attached it to the new one. So now I have a stash of grips for almost a lifetime! You can also put your own design on the head!
