This is the best product I have ever tried for removing cat urine odor. I have a young cat who is mostly blind and suddenly started peeing in one of the areas on my steps. No matter what I did, she always came back to that step. In fact, she didn't stop going there until I took a piece of rug and turned it over, so it wasn't such a soft place for her. In any case. As soon as we stood her up and she started using the tray. again I couldn't get rid of the smell. The step area is kind of closed off and every time I went up or down I could still smell it. No one else has done what is good for others, but I did! I've tried every common product you can find in the store, some of the recommended ones online, and even the regular baking powder mix. They all hid the smell until they stopped. I was desperate and then I saw this product. It had very few but decent reviews so I decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did! With minimal effort, the smell is gone! All I did was spray it onto the carpet and let it dry. The next day I realized I couldn't smell him anymore. I was pleased! I haven't actually used this product on stains so I can't comment on that part. But for the odor elimination I give 10/10!
