Review on Halo Grain-Free Dry Dog Food: High Protein Small Breed Formula with Game Bird Medley by Carmen White

I have a small rescue York/Lhasa Apso who is so picky about kibble! I've bought so many bags of high quality dog food only for Zoya to refuse! The only reason I decided to try Halo Spot's Stew was because I was told she ate it while visiting a friend. But I knew it could be because the other dogs were eating, and there was a chance Zoe was a victim of peer pressure! But I decided to order a bag and see how it goes. If she refuses that food too, I can always donate it to the rescue group we took Zoey from! They benefited from Zoe's fussiness as I gave them all the other rejected packages! to eat for Zoya. A few months ago I received a sample of Rachel Ray's Simply 6 cream which Zoe seems to love! The pieces were so beautiful and small. However, when I bought the same food from the store, the pieces were bigger and Zoya didn't like it! I also like that the bag has an integrated zip so it's easy to close and keep fresh. I have included photos of the parts and the zipper on the bag. Now after seeing the little pieces my hope is up! I took a few pieces out of the bag and handed them to Zoe. She ate them straight away and started looking for more! I thought I heard angels singing! She ate another 4 or 5 handfuls before leaving. I was so excited! If you are reading this review you will know how lucky it is when you find something your pet likes or makes them happy! This is very similar to the feelings I experienced when my children were little! We feed Zoe these cute little wet food containers 2 times a day as she doesn't eat kibble, but now I add some Halo Spot stew along with the wet food and she eats it too! Finally, I want her to eat dry Halo in the morning and her regular wet food in the evening. I also use Halo Spot's Stew for her treats that she plays with. The only problem is that the pieces are small and not very comfortable to walk on unless Zoya eats everything that comes out of the ball! Speaking of which, I have to tell you this nice little story. Zoe was playing ball last night and the whole floor was covered in halo. She didn't even eat it. I picked up the pieces from the floor and placed them on her dog food plate to get rid of them. While I picked up the pieces and placed them on the plate, she ate them right off the plate! She just didn't seem to think she had to eat food off the floor! It's not nice to talk about, but I want to be very thorough in my review, so let's get started. I noticed Zoe's poop. how do you say?. a little better! She made 3 deposits on our walk this morning! It was a little harder than usual and a rich color. Wow I can't believe I just shared this! It's only been a week but I have high hopes for this dog food! Usually Zoe chose not to eat this food and she still eats Halo! She still prefers wet food, but he still seems to like Halo as a side dish. I know there's always a chance Zoe will switch to Halo too, but for now it's outlived all previous kibble. Extinguish. Maybe you too can hear the angels singing! :)
