Review on ☕ 1Zpresso JX-PRO Silver Capacity 35g Manual Coffee Grinder - Stainless Steel Conical Burr, Numernal Adjustable Setting, Portable Mill for Faster Grinding Efficiency - Espresso to Coarse by Leroy Estell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Impressive grind uniformity // Ideal for both espresso and infusion

I've been using the JX-Pro for a week now. Espresso and pourover with impressive grind uniformity. Feels strong and durable. Grind consistency: I noticed 5/5. I've made amazing espresso shots on La Marzocco Linea AND doused Chemex with a coarser grind which brought out the flavors in a way my Baratza Virtuoso couldn't. The 48mm conical stainless steel grinders are impressive. Ease of use: 5/5 - The dial was the only thing I wasn't sure about, but it works great! It tends to loosen as you adjust, but a light push on the center shaft (see image) is enough to re-tighten it. The micro adjustments are a big plus over the regular JX if you prefer finer adjustments and don't mind the extra clicks. Grinding capacity: 5/5 - manual grinding for medium and coarse grinding, to be honest it requires almost no effort. 18g for Chemex took 20 seconds (1 second per gram). You need muscle and stamina when it comes to grinding espresso, especially if you're building mass, but I see it as part of my daily workout. 18 g for an espresso I needed 35 seconds (1.5 seconds per gram). But now that I use it daily, the espresso grind doesn't seem that special, especially since I've dialed it in. Aromatherapy coffee making. It makes the whole routine a lot more fun, especially when you have a quality hand grinder, namely the JX-Pro. First conclusion: 1zpresso JX-Pro is imo the BEST hand grinder for the price. If you're not making espresso, regular JX should do the trick. But if you want the best of both worlds, the JX-Pro is the way to go. Note: I did a lot of research on hand sanders before buying this one and I have no regrets. James Hoffman's YouTube video on hand grinders is a great place to start (although he doesn't cover 1zpresso models). The Coffee Chronicler (coffee blog) was the only English review I could find on 1zpresso models and after a few Q&A's with them on Instagram I was sold on the JX-Pro. Also the 1zpresso reps on Facebook were REALLY helpful.
