It is not possible for the spring strip to fully engage.

USB socket NOT suitable. This does not allow full use of any USB connector. This means that the contact area is probably too small for long-term reliability and that anything connected to this socket is not as reliable as it should be. Other extension cords I've purchased in the past have a desired hook depth that this cord does not have.
