The normal cat cone did not stay with my cat. He didn't want to leave the "hot spot" alone, so we had to look for another solution. I stumbled across this and thought it was cute. My cat looked ridiculous but it worked. He couldn't get to the area that needed healing, it mostly stayed (he took it off a few times over a couple of weeks) and was easy to adjust to. The adjustable strings are nearly torn apart despite chewing or scratching, and there are little holes for stuffing to come out of where he tried to rip them off. I could use it elsewhere if needed. For reference, I have a large cat, a meager 14 pounds.
