Inaccurate measurement
Shaft length is 5/32 inch (4mm), NOT 3/16 inch (5mm). I bought these to replace the grommets on my work boots that have 3/16" holes in leather but they fit too loose to use. I later ordered 1/4" tandy grommets because I thought they could be smaller, but no. . 1/4" grommets measure exactly 1/4". So I will continue my search for grommets that match Danner boots.
