It's worth it, except for the disappointment.
Worth a few dollars to swap out. Then you don't have to worry about damaging the inevitable rusted and seized bolts under the car. If they break, just sand them down and replace them. Hours wasted fussing and swearing can be compensated by simply ordering them a few days in advance.
