Non-Origami Gift Wrap

I purchased 3 packs of this paper from Tuttle through Revain. I wanted the large 9 inch size to learn to fold more complicated. The paper is kind of shiny so the true shape of the model seems lost. Also, the ink they used on the newspapers is drying in my hands. However, I could live with all of that. Except for one. I believe the manufacturer should not have listed them as origami paper. The paper is thick. It is impossible to fold a model of this thickness more difficult than folding a letter for an envelope. Because of the thickness, the paper is unusable for me. It wasn't until I received the package that I realized it was a starter folder. This must be specified by the manufacturer in capital letters. All they emphasized in the product image was that the patterns were traditional. This means the manufacturer already knew it was thick and unsuitable for the vast majority of origami models. I would like to send it back, but unfortunately I used up some of the paper. Product descriptions - an indication of whether the manufacturer supports their product. I used to buy wonderful Japanese and Chinese children's books from Tuttle. Beautifully printed and presented. That's why I trusted in buying these securities. It's a shame how far their standards have dropped.
