You get what you pay for.
I bought this set to put a pair of scissors in every knitting and crochet bag. The size is perfect and I was happy to find that the caps stay secure until removed. However, I am disappointed that they don't cut the yarn cleanly, that's the whole point of having them. As said, you get what you pay for. live and learn I can't confirm how they can cut other items.
