READ IT! Key Calibration Test Results.

I checked the calibration of this Venzo handlebar wrench with TWO snap-on torque wrenches, which have been checked/calibrated the local bike shop at the REI shop Here's what you need to know: This Venzo bar torque wrench is calibrated to approximately 2Nm, this means if the Venzo reads 2Nm the snap-on reads 4Nm Venzo 3Nm = Snap-on 4.5Nm Venzo 5Nm = Snap-on 7Nm Venzo 7Nm = Snap-on 9Nm Venzo 8Nm = Snap-on 10Nm I haven't measured it but I'm pretty sure if Venzo says 10Nm the actual reading will be 12Nm I almost returned it due to these disappointing calibration test results but then realized I can safely use it as long as I remember the Venzo 2 Nm less a n pull as I try to reach. If I want real 5Nm I just have to tighten the Venzo to 3Nm etc. It's a neat little tool and I love its simplicity compared to crunchy torque wrenches (which generally get far too many bad reviews - including the 'best " Park Tool brand) I love this Venzo and recommend it if you are thinking of tightening it to 2Nm to balance the calibration.

Pros
  • COMPACT: Compact size to carry. Carry it in your saddlebag or tool bottle while you ride. Torque range: 2-10Nm. 1/4" Torque Locking Kit. It covers tightening of most bike parts including handlebars, seat post, brake mounts etc.
Cons
  • Not as thick as other lock picks
