I love this bike rack - it's relatively light but strong and very easy to attach to my car's hitch. The bike rack attaches and detaches easily, holds the bikes with minimal sway when moving and I love the fold down feature which allows me to access the back of my car (I've used this rack with VW). Passat Wagon and Subaru Crosstrek). This strut replaced a hitch mounted strut with support beams at the bottom of the strut which was much more difficult to lift and install and had to be removed to gain access to the rear of the vehicle. I never thought I would be happy that I had to replace my bike rack after a car accident but I'm so glad I got this rack!
