That does not work. Without zapping. Nada.

They just don't work. I have used several of these battery powered circuits over the years with great success. The old ones I have will absolutely kill flies. I mean, they'll set off a tiny flash and leave a charred fly corpse on the ground. Finally, when one of them broke, I looked around for new ones. Found these 2 packs of rechargeable zip ties and they sounded perfect. We've had new ones in our house for a few days. First, they do not hold a charge for a long time. hours, if at all. I can't say for sure how long they hold a charge though, because even if they're fully charged, if the switch is ON and the discharge button is pressed, they won't discharge. It took me a few days to get smart on the flies and the flies that don't die and really check if there was any discharge. I won't go into detail, but we've tested them extensively and they don't turn off at all. They appear to have been created by someone who loves flies and wants them to fly free, while making fun of people waving their little yellow bats in the air and swearing. In any case, the ones I have don't even work a little. Well, that's not fair to say, 'cause I mean, that stupid flashlight comes on. So I can say that the authorities are doing SOMETHING. It just doesn't make any sense. It's like the little lights in your car's rearview mirrors that come on and tell you the car is running, even if the engine won't start. We are returning these items and are looking for more batteries.
