This throw complemented my country style bedroom perfectly. My husband sleeps very warm and I keep our house very cool at night so he can sleep more comfortably. As a result, I feel a bit chilly in the middle of the night. I wanted a light duvet for "a little extra" warmth on those extra chilly evenings. This blanket was perfect. It's light enough not to have the "mummification" feel of a heavy blanket over a bedspread, yet tightly woven to ensure excellent heat retention. My two Yorkies and my cat sleep with me and the duvet is washed twice a week. It was a dream to care for, washes easily in my machine and dries wrinkle free. In cases where a stain appeared, the dirt was easily removed and the blanket looked like new.
