Review on 🐾 ecoFLEX Albany Outdoor Feral Cat House: A Sustainable Shelter for Stray Cats by Scott Rangel

Great house - I bought two. I have an advice!

Excellent. I bought two! First, it's a really nice house that doesn't look like an eyesore in your yard. Of the two, I only had a small issue with one - a screw hole on the roof wasn't drilled/aligned properly. It doesn't matter because I have 3 out of 4 that fully protect the roof. I currently have a towel on the floor and an electric cat heating pad on top of it. I then rolled 2 baby blankets around the cabin for snuggling (without blocking the doors). In extreme weather, when I'm sure I have a cat in the house, I wrap blankets around every part of the house except for the doors and thick plastic sheeting for extra insulation and wind protection. I just attach everything with a couple of clothespins. In the event of a very heavy snowstorm, I put an open folding garden chair in front of the door to act as a canopy to keep the snow out. You must be careful that the animal does not get stuck in the house. in heavy snowfall. Photo update: The house actually worked well in bad weather. The cat is VERY happy with the outdoor heating pad I placed in the cat house and the heated water bowl. I've included two photos to show how I installed the door and of course my happy diaper soft and cozy feline tenant. NOTE: If any of you are having trouble installing vinyl doors, HERE'S THE TRICK. 1.) Take a piece of vinyl and cut about 8 even pieces into the panel (opposite side of the 2 tabs) - this is how you make mini warehouse vinyl doors. Cats have trouble pushing through a fully solid vinyl record, but not so much when it's cut to resemble a pony. This makes it much easier to turn them on and off. Then take the prepared vinyl door and fasten it INSIDE the house (NOT OUTSIDE). Attach the top of the door (inside) twice with a piece of Gorilla tape. The door stays in place and is not exposed to the elements. This works very well. I hope my tips help you!
