Review on PC Supporting Computer Mac Linux Unix by William Rothstein

Nice but very imperfect computer case

AT FIRST GLANCE THIS CASE LOOKS SURPRISINGLY GOOD Appearance wise it's a creative design made from quality materials that definitely has a lot of its Mac Pro DNA takes over . For people who want to check this box, this case is definitely considered Mac-like. Unfortunately, that's where my praise for this case ends. My wife really liked the design aesthetic of this case so I bought it for a custom order that I made for her. I've built many custom PCs in my time and this is probably the most frustrating case I've had. in the premium class. In this price range or below there are many really exceptional cases. For a little more, you can get the Dune Pro, which is a legitimate Mac Pro-like case, the Phanteks PH-ES314ETG, or the Thermaltake A500, all pro-level case options with more features and a much better construction. For a little less you can get the Phanteks PH-ES314ETG, which is another really great case, or for almost 1/4 the price, the GOLDEN FIELD N-2S or M3S, which are about the same quality but at least the price . There's also a ZZAW B2 PLUS available for around $40-$50, although it's $134.99 on Revain, from the same seller I bought this case from. Let's start with the fact that USB cables have to be pushed into connectors due to the curved backplate and they barely fit when bent in place and some cables with longer strain relief shapes don't fit at all.-- - It is. It is It is not possible to fit a second standard sized antenna behind the rear panel, so you will need to purchase a separate standalone unit with a shorter strain relief if you wish to use both connectors. --- The detachable side panel itself springs back once you remove the screws as it doesn't properly conform to the curvature of the case which causes the cover of the device I received to move slightly when viewed from above. --- The mounts for the power supply and hanging the heatsink on top of the unit feel flimsy and are each held in place with a tiny screw. I've opened up this case a total of 3 times and the few screws holding the side plate already feel like they're tearing off the soft aluminum. CABLE MANAGEMENT In this case there is absolutely no cable management. QUALITYAmong other issues, I As I mentioned earlier, in this case there is a faulty LED strip on the front panel that flashes on and off rapidly like a strobe light, which doesn't inspire confidence in the manufacturer's quality assurance process, if any. in which case it might be for you, but other than that I don't recommend it due to its complete lack of features. If this were a $50 case I'd probably say it's a decent entry-level option, but at its current price there's just no reason to go down this route with so many better options.

Pros
  • Computers and accessories
Cons
  • Not everything fits
