This is my first Garmin watch. I have used Polar before. In general, Polar suited me until I ran into their failed flagship Vantage V. Switching to 945, I don’t even know what to compare it with, as if I switched from Tetris to a game console. You can customize, customize, personalize everything from watch faces from the Garmin store to running metrics. True, when setting a dial that can display up to 20 different parameters on the screen, you need to understand that it will eat the battery like an iron. There are a lot of running programs with a Garmin bot, for every taste and training, including videos (though in English). Over a couple of weekends I paddled about 10 km in open water in the Leningrad region, I was pleasantly surprised by the GPS track, a very accurate, even, nervous track (crawl). With a brace, of course, there will be no track in open water. An hour-long running workout with music eats up about 10-12% of the charge. Without music - probably half as much (with a bib, optics off). If you don’t use music, then the charge of the watch will last more than a week (smart notifications are all turned off, I don’t need them, the optics reads the pulse 24/7, always with a bib in training, using standard dials). I ran without a bib a couple of times, there are no questions about the accuracy of the optics, but I still use the H10 sensor for accuracy. About the presence of the ANT + protocol is a separate issue, with which you can connect any sports equipment (power meters, exercise equipment, sensors, etc.). Wi-Fi - I have all the synchronization with the connection only through it, it automatically resets everything there as soon as it sees a familiar network. Widgets - for every taste, if there are not enough regular ones, you can download whatever you want from the store. The thermometer did not quite understand what it was for, because. takes a very long time to adapt to the environment. environment, and on the hand, in fact, shows body temperature. I am very pleased with the watch, at the moment I would even say they surpass my sports needs. I have been using them for more than a month, but every day I find something new in them.
