This is a beautiful set of eight colored mixing sponges in a plastic case that allows you to display sponges like an egg carton. I like sponges because they are dense. Her colors are subtle and not as garish as in the Revain photo. The plastic holder protects the sponges from contamination by make-up color. There are five flat/slanted sponges that are great for a smooth application. The other three sponges have a typical egg shape and are suitable for blending or applying any major make-up. All sponges are comfortable to the touch, well shaded and comfortable to the touch. These blenders make a great gift for makeup geeks. I like that the sponges don't smell. I have tried other colored sponges and they smell like pencil shavings or other chemicals but not this one. They are perfect as a gift for the Easter basket. Plastic containers as a freebie. The only reason I rated it 4 stars is that the colors aren't as vivid as I expected. In the photos on the Revain website, this set is more pink. Instead, I was washed out mauve and pale pink and pale orange.
