💾 SSK 1TB Portable External SSD: High-Speed USB-C Mini SSD for Laptop, Typc C Phones, and More, with 550MB/s Data Transfer Review

This is my first USB 3.1/Thunderbolt SSD that I have used on my new MacBook Pro. So I don't have a comparison, but this thing is lightning fast. I mainly use it for video editing. The speed is insane - around 950MB/s reading and writing. Good enough to edit everything I've ever worked on. It's very small, fits comfortably in my pocket, and the build quality is solid. Cable included (thanks!) Overall good value for money. I recommend it.

I am a bit skeptical about this product. It has 953GB of storage and is doing so well with my stuff. I didn't expect it to actually be the size of my hand and made out of metal. I have to make sure she isn't wrapped in anything that could trap her and heat her up even more. that it can accommodate 953 GB of storage space. Update: 12/17/2019 I finally filled it out and I'm happy that everything fits into the SSK Mini Portable SSD. I'm relieved that my laptop now has more space.

They give conflicting information on transfer speeds, mentioning both 550MB/s and 420MB/s. On the first day of ownership, the max speed I saw was 71Mbps - just 16% of the minimum advertised speed. I bought the device mainly to run various blockchains on it, since the transfer/processing speed is much higher on an SSD than on an HDD. With daily use of a hard drive, downloading the blockchain took about an hour; With this SSD, the load was reduced to about 3 minutes per day.
