I plugged it into my high-end audio system, here it's just an input to the Spectral preamp from the OPPO DAC, connected to the Sonos Connect box with this Toslink to bypass the Sonos DAC. The Sonos file library is presented in uncompressed .wav format and recorded via iTunes. All types of classical music will sound almost as good as the original CD played through the Spectral CD player because the OPPO DAC is absolutely top notch. I borrowed a major manufacturer's Toslink cable from a friend that cost almost 20x more and heard no difference. I rated the general "naturalness" of the sound, the resolution, the presentation of the soundstage. Conclusion: Absolute purchase recommendation. No need to spend money on an expensive alternative or look elsewhere! (No conflict of interest as disclosure).
