Great first step shoe for our little boy. I ordered these because the 'regular' shoes we tried (several pairs) were difficult to put on, they came off within a few steps and the worst thing was that the hard soles prevented him from walking in them. Look for softer soles and shoes that are easy to slip on. They stay, don't bother his walking and are kept on campaigns when he walked on the road in any terrain (although he doesn't go far yet!). The only problem I found is that they are VERY slippery. When the soles got wet, he would slide all over the wet concrete. So they're not the best for all conditions, but pretty good overall (we got some compliments the week we had them too).
