I had it in my 2018 BMW X5 for about 1 month. The cigarette tray pulled out easily and it was just as easy to install in less than a minute. It matches the rest of the interior and looks like an OEM. My iPhone 11 Pro sits on the tray and starts charging immediately and doesn't slip. As previously mentioned, this does not affect Apple Car Play; still works fine. I was a little worried it would interfere with the coasters but not at all, 32 oz. Yeti still sits perfectly in the mount. I was a little worried when I turned off the machine that it was on. After reading some BMW forums, this port stays active until your vehicle officially goes to sleep after 16 minutes of inactivity. I checked the car at 16 minutes and the charger was effectively completely disconnected so there is no permanent battery drain.
