Too short for baby to hold

I wanted to like this set but within a day it was clear they were too difficult for my 10 month old to use. We do BLW and he's been very used to the GOOtensils, but I was hoping to start transitioning him to something a little more similar to silverware and also something that could hold more in the spoon. Unfortunately the handles are so short that it's impossible for me to pass him a pre-loaded spoon - he just grabs the end with food and gets frustrated. Even when I would leave a full spoon/fork at the edge of his plate he couldn't seem to figure out how to hold it. Had to return with disappointment.

Pros

The Grabease self-feeding utensils make it easier for babies to transition to solid foods, helping them develop important eating skills

Not suitable for use in the oven or on the stove
