This preparation set is a good starter set for little ones to explore their new Amscope microscope. Slides are prepared on plastic slides, which is for security, and taped to keep them in place, which isn't conducive to clarity. The tape-down approach causes bubbles to form on the slide, slightly distorting the image when viewed under a microscope. Not exactly a show stop but something to consider and the main reason I gave it 4 stars out of 5. It was difficult to get a clear picture, especially the first part of the beetle's body, where the pieces are thick enough that the tape doesn't fit snugly on the slide. I would like to say that I accidentally received a duplicate slide and when I contacted the seller they apologized for the mistake and quickly sent the missing set. It was good customer service.
