Removing the barbecue sauce from the shelf was a very tedious process. Most of it - where it was thicker - was absorbed, but the parts that weren't rubbed off took a long time to remove. When using my stove, I am refining my methods and in some cases I've stopped using metal grates altogether because they're difficult to clean thoroughly, opting for silicone instead. At least this one was plainer than the factory grill, made of narrower wire, doubled in places, on which the sauce shone with a cheerful lightness. Cover area with aluminum foil next time, or cut the ribs into 3 pieces and balance against each other in a circle like I did the first time. The grate also made it difficult to coat both sides of the ribs with barbecue sauce towards the end of the air toast time, so I'll have to think about that more.
