Looks the same in reality as in the photo. Nice attractive part. It's all real wood, not cardboard/cardboard/cheap. They need to be assembled by yourself and the instruction is useless. But by looking at the photos and using common sense I figure out how to put it together pretty easily and it's usually not my area of expertise (I usually leave things like that to my husband). You will need a hammer and a Phillips screwdriver. They fold easily as indicated. The kids loved it when we showed it to them and they really kept up with the organization system we used with them.
