Review on ALTRA Superior 10.5 Men's Trail Running Shoes in Black by Kenneth Wood

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Felt like old cheap water shoes.

Trail running shoes I've now used a couple of pairs as hiking shoes, I also occasionally run trails in them. I like to trade stability for agility and weight. So far I've enjoyed this exchange. They are extremely minimal and I thought that was a good thing before trying them. . . They looked like cheap 90's water boots to me. They just slipped around my feet. With every climb, I slipped sideways with every step. In mountainous and rocky terrain it was safer and better without them. The only time they felt "right" was with the added support and protection of crossing a river. I'm sure these shoes are great for those in the know, but I sent them back unimpressed.

Pros
  • Stack height: 21mm
Cons
  • I won't say anything
