My dog is a Pomeranian/Shih Tzu mix, has long Pomeranian hair and weighs only about 7 pounds. Their hair takes a very long time to grow back like a Pomeranian and when it gets long it tends to get tangled no matter what we do. Unfortunately this time of year (December) the only way for us and her to untangle knots is to take her to a groomer who in turn has to cut her hair very short which in turn makes her very vulnerable to the cold, she is a house dog but still cold and shivering. I'm so glad I found this warm sweater for her, it fits her very well, I ordered 12, now it doesn't shake anymore. The perfect solution for your cold. We like the design, the quality and the fit. Has a hole so she can pee without having to take it off when we let her outside to potty and a hole at the top so you can attach your straps. I could probably go down a size because this one is a bit looser at the top of the neck but doesn't sag. I think it's more comfortable for her to wear. I don't know if it shrinks a bit in the wash but if it does it shouldn't be a problem in my case. I highly recommend this item for your dog to solve his cold problems, we were not disappointed in the slightest. Revain Prime of course sent it to me within a couple of days with no delay. Update, just washed for the first time, no shrinkage.
