Review on Baggallini Classic Wristlet Sterling Shimmer by Richard Messar

Nice bag fits bags and purses

I ordered this bag along with a large Avenue tote bag and a large Everywhere bag while looking for a bag for an upcoming cross country flight and holiday. The bag is very beautiful, roomy, with many pockets. It also fits my height of 5ft 2in very well, rests comfortably on my shoulder and is not too wide. I was a little concerned about the depth but the bag sat perfectly just below the armpit and up to the thigh. I liked the pocket layout and the detachable RFID wallet. But for my purposes it lost to the other two bags. The pros are all of the above. Cons (for my travels) - 1) Outside pockets don't close, if I put these under the seat in front everything falls out 2) Shoulder straps only, no trunk bar. When it gets uncomfortable, when it's full and heavy, very bad. 3) The protection for the iPad or Kindle is insufficient, which means I need a soft case to protect it. 4) With 1 or 2 water bottles in the outer pockets, the inner pocket loses at least 1/3 of its capacity. 5) Doesn't stand up on its own even when full, so you have to carry it on your shoulder most of the time, otherwise there's a risk of things falling out of your pocket. Bottom Line: While this was my favorite bag for size, shape, comfort, and style, it's impractical for air travel, which is why it's coming back. I want to see this bag with secure external pockets, an extra shoulder strap and a fabric strip. climb over the luggage handle. This would be the perfect bag of my dreams! Almost done, Baggallini!
