Like Revlon sharpener, but more expensive.
1. YES, sharpens pencils with plastic inserts! That's why I bought it, but I also bought a Revlon sharpener, it's about $2.50 and works just as well as this one. They are exactly the same except the Revlon brand comes with an extra piece to allow you to sharpen 3 different pencil sizes. So the sharpener works exactly as you would expect. Fine sharpens. I was working with an old worn out sharpener, it worked great with wood liners but it corroded and ruined my new Epic Wear liners. I was heartbroken when I saw that. So yes, he does what he has to do. No complaints, only price. Too high for a very basic sharpener.
