I might have misunderstood - I thought since it's called lavender it would smell milder than old-fashioned mothballs. This smell is so strong that we will not use it. That. I hung one in the closet in the master bedroom and when I returned to that room a few hours later, I could smell an offensive smell. They're probably effective, but I don't want the whole house smelling that way, so for now I've put them in a plastic bag and maybe in clothes I keep. Or just throw it away. They are too strong for our home.
