The first thing that catches your eye when you open the Leyaoyao storage bench is the color. It is a very nice worn/aged gray color with small black and white spots. You can sprinkle it with salt and pepper and you might not even see it. The finish is shiny and smooth. The weight of the boards gives me a feeling it will be a durable, sturdy story bench. Assembly wasn't too difficult, but the instructions can be misleading if you're not careful. All tools and parts are included. Parts B and D are side panels and must be fitted so that the metal hole is on the outside. You attach the legs to the metal hole (Part G). You can attach parts B and D with a metal hole inside. I managed to do it for one of the parties. Unscrewing and flipping the board wasn't difficult, but it did take a little longer. The hardest part is attaching the lid with the two main hinges and the closing hinge. It was easy for me to install the hinges on the base and line them up so the top opens and closes. Once you've done that you can easily see how to attach the loops at the top. After attaching the hinges to the top, you need to attach the hinges to the base. This can be difficult if you're doing it alone. It will be a lot easier if you have someone hold it for 3-5 minutes while you attach all the screws. Probably one of the best features is the soft-closing hinge. This storage bench is suitable for children's rooms. It's definitely still possible to get your fingers caught, but you have to press on the top to close it. All in all a good functional, durable and safe storage bench with nice color and smooth finish. sold by a Chinese company on Revain. At the current price of $100, that's more than double what it should be.
