Even being super careful putting the screws in, the built in clips froze up and came out not allowing it to tighten. My husband bought small clips and fixed it ,only b/c it would have been too difficult to un assemble and return. Looks nice and hoping it holds up but def not worth the money.

This is a great sturdy bench. It took less then an hour to put it together and it looks great! I have it at our lake home and it works great for throwing odds and ends in the storage area and sandals on the rack. I especially like that the shoe rack is like a grate since I have it setting over the floor air vent. It was exactly what I was looking for. I only gave it 4 stars because one of the closure hinges doesn't work. I could only put the one working closure on but it closes without banging…

I would have given this 5 stars, but one of the hinges didn’t work. I emailed the company and they sent me another set, but the one for the side that I needed doesn’t work either. So right now I can’t us the storage on it because it only has one hinge on it.

It is sturdy, attractive and multi functional. We are actually using it as a coffee table in a small space. It was difficult to put together and came missing a screw, which required a long trip to a hardware store. We live in a rural area so that was a problem. I would still order this item as it is perfect otherwise.

I love this bench. I think it is well worth the cost. Was not hard at all to assemble (I love puzzles). I definitely recommend this product. This was a good purchase.

EXACTLY what we were looking for! Somewhere to sit while taking off boots/shoes. Cant talk about how easy it was to assemble, but my husband had it done in 30 minutes

This bench is much sturdier than I was expecting for the price. It is very heavy.I have been using it to house my daughter’s toys that she keeps downstairs, so I love that it has a push to keep open and slow closing hinge that keeps her little fingers from getting smashed. Great product!

The hinges seem to strong for the screws. As soon as I closed the top the little screws ripped out and bent the hinge. It looks like it would be a really nice piece of furniture but they need to fix those hinges.

This was a great purchase, easy to assemble and it’s very sturdy. We have 4 kids and it’s taking a beating. Small note - the corners are very sharp so we did need to add some cover protectors for our toddlers but otherwise great buy!

If you buy this I strongly recommend you do not try to use the "Safe Hinge" with slow closing design. A challenge to place and when it is in place the spring was so strong that when closing, it caused the actual hinge to pop the center screw and bend the hinge. The plastic anchors would not hold in that when attempting to tighten the screws the anchor just turned. I left the "Safe Hinge" off in order to be able to properly open and close the lid. Not worth the effort to try and return.

A pain in the butt to put top on. You need 4 hands. Then the sides and the shelf all need to be tightened at pretty much the same time but the with the pictorial directions that was not clear. I figured it out after many trials and error of the sides not being flushed when tightened. I did like that they provided extra screws and a screw driver though I ended up using my own.

I’m trying to make contact with Walmart or the supplier as it is missing a bar to complete the build. Let’s see if someone gets in touch w me otherwise the product seems to be okay bit completely useless without all of the parts!

I put it together all by myself and it was not too hard. It’s solid and looks great in my dining room. Lots of storage also. I got 3 baskets for bottom shelf. Highly recommended!

This bench is lighter weight than it appears. The top has a safety feature that prevents it slamming down but actually has to be pushed to close it.

Spent two hours trying to insert and install a screw into black metal table base pieces. Finally examined screw hole and it wasn’t all the way drilled, so the entry hole was too small for the provided screw. Ended up using a hammer and screwdriver to widen the hole. Exhausting!

Good concept but poorly made. Cheap material. When I finally attached the hinges to the top lid and tried to close it, it was very stiff. As the lid was being closed, the screw that held the hinges down to the main compartment was pulled out from the pressure of the hinges. Now there’s a huge gap when the lid is closed and the other screws are starting to be stripped from the main compartment. It’s pressed wood so the nails can’t really hold the hinges down. at least I was able to return it…

This was a great item for end-of-the-bed storage. Matched our furniture nicely. Relatively easy to assemble. Very sturdy. My husband hopped on it a for a test. The only minor issue was the screws for lid were flat heads, but the hinge plates were not countersunk.

It came with the two of the same hinge and while screwing in the small hinge that holds the top to the bottom it ripped apart completely. They did replace and the new one is still in good shape after a year.

I loved the size of the bench and storage unit. It was perfect for our location. Set up was a breeze and super simple. My 8 year old helped me and loved every minute of it. Only issue I had was with the metal rack on the lower half. I have attached pictures showing that the soldering became detached. This was how I found it immediately from the box. I reached out to the company and they responded back asking for pictures. I am still waiting for a resolution for the bottom rack. Other than that…
