This mascara brush separates lashes well and minimizes clumping. It also holds up well all day and resists tears (I'm tearful :). My only objection is that there is some daubing, although not too bad. I couldn't find a mascara that was waterproof and didn't smudge. Because I tend to squint and wrinkle my eyes when I laugh, mascara tends to smear under my eyes throughout the day. Some of them are so bad that I had to throw them out altogether. This one is pretty good if not perfect. It also helps hold the curls when I've been using curlers, or even lifts my straight lashes a bit when I haven't used curlers, and also adds a good look and some length. This is one of the best mascaras I've found, although not perfect. It also doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes, which some people do.
